Victory is Ours, says the Laity

This just in to the ebox:

Kickoff Your Super Bowl Sunday

with Us!

St. John’s Episcopal Church’s

Annual Parish Meeting and Covered Dish Lunch

Sunday, Feb. 7th in Alfriend Hall

Lunch will be served beginning at 12:00 p.m.*

Parish Meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m.*

Covered Dish Assignments, by last name, are as follows:
A-J: entree or main dish
K-T: salad or vegetable dish
U-Z: dessert

The asterisk was to denote the change in time of the meeting. I'll bring the Muffaletas! We need some chicken wings with tobasco, veggies and dip, and Abita! That'll be a Super Bowl lunch in the NOLA spirit. Go Saints!

  1. Thanks be to God for such common sense. Of course, discerning minds want to know: what's a muffaleta? Is it like a barista, only for muffins rather than coffee?

  2. Very good, frdougal! A muffaleta is a traditional New Orleans sandwich. It's made on a flat bun or bread (ciabatta). It has marinated vegetables and olives, with ham and cheese layerd on top and then broiled. It's delicious!

  3. I let out a roar when I read it on my computer this PM. We all are rooting for the Saints.

Fr. Dougal you should fly over for the party of a lifetime.
