Thumbs up to Jackson Holbrook, the protestor of the protestor! I got tagged in this photo on Facebook. The corner is Duval and Eaton in Key West, FL. And really, the guy with the "God Hates Fags" sign seriously needed a compass. I can't imagine standing on the street with a sign like that in one of this country's gay Meccas. The city motto is "One Human Family", no doubt written in rainbow colors! I'm guessing his choice of street corner was intentional: this is outside St. Paul's Episcopal Church, a welcoming congregation. I answered this yesterdat I thought. This guy is a real hero to do this. We had these nuts outside our conferences all the time. They never kept anyone from coming to our meetings.

ReplyDeleteHello Truly Anonymous! I agree. I'm sick of homophobic, religious of any stripe zealots, too. They not only ruin our country, but they do a lot to smear the name of otherwise decent people who ascribe to set of religious beliefs.
