A Step Toward Forward-Thinking in Florida

The Associated Press reports that a judge in Miami has ruled in favor of letting a gay couple adopt the two brothers they've been caring for as foster parents. Florida is the only state that specifically says adoption by gay or lesbian couples is verboten. Ja, wohl! This ban was enacted by the 1977 state legislature under heavy influences of orange juice spiked by Anita Bryant's hatred of homosexuality.

The state says it will appeal the ruling. I wonder if the state plans to bring back their cracker jack crackpot "experts" to help them build their case on appeal?
