The countdown continues to General Convention 2009. And the LGBT group, Integrity, seems ready to lay it out there for the assembled Church to hear the voices of those of us who are tired of this "season", this winter of discontent. There are resolutions to allow the blessing of same-sex unions, something currently forbidden by the 2006 Resolution known as B033. This would be of particular interest to those dioceses located in the states that currently allow for same-sex marriage.
One of the church's leading the way on this issue is All Saints in Pasadena, California. The vestry of All Saints, in a bold move, has adopted a policy that the church will not perform weddings for straight couples until ALL couples are allowed to be married. How 'bout them apples?!
You can hear from the Rector of All Saints on his parish's philosophy about marriage.
Yay, All Saints!! Nice to know you're so close to Anaheim!!
